CompTIA CASP+ Certification Training
Video training course for the brand new version of the CompTIA CASP+ (CAS-004) exam.
The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) is an advanced-level cybersecurity certification for security infrastructure architects and experienced security engineers who are responsible for leading and improving an enterprise's cybersecurity readiness. The exam is broken into two main areas:
- Security Architecture – analyze requirements, security design, integrate software, and apply cryptography
- Security Operations – perform threat management, formulate a response, perform penetration testing
- Security Engineering and Cryptography – apply secure configurations, implement PKI
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance – apply risk strategies and legal considerations, check business continuity
Through a combination of lectures, hands-on labs, and practice exams, you will learn the essential skills, concepts, and technologies to be a contributing member of a cybersecurity operations center (SOC), including understanding the IT infrastructure, operations, and vulnerabilities.
The CASP+ certification is suited for professionals who want to be immersed in technology as a practitioner, while the CISSP is suited for those who want to be in management or move into management. The CISSP focuses on management strategies, practices, and principles. It is compliant with ISO 17024 standards and approved by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to meet directive 8140/8570.01-M requirements.
CASP+ Jobs
The CASP+ is aimed at experienced security professionals, so junior roles are not applicable for this certification. You should bolster the CASP+ with both on-the-job experience AND other certifications such as the CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, or the SSCP.
Typical CASP+ jobs are technical in nature, such as:
- Lead security engineer
- Technical security architect
- Lead security analyst
- Application security engineer
The CASP+ Role
As a CASP+ engineer, your role will involve installing and troubleshooting firewalls, dealing with security incidents, mentoring junior engineers, defining organizational security policies and procedures, complying with security laws and requirements, and supervising security upgrades.
You will be involved in network security at a high-level meeting with senior company management and lead the organizational security strategy. Because you will be working at a high level, you will work with vendors and project managers regularly.

CompTIA Exam Pass

Nick Proper
Since 2004 we've been helping students such as Nick, who used our CompTIA training course to pass his exam on the first try. Most students take two or three attempts to pass their exam ($480 per attempt).
Passing the CAS-004 exam requires at least three months of study. You need to master the theory but also complete many hands-on labs so you understand the software and protocols.
Passing the CASP certification proves you have what it takes to carry out advanced security analysis of enterprise networks.
The CASP+ is a requirement to work in any Department of Defence role or contract, it's also recognized by companies such as Dell, Verizon, the US Army, and Navy, and many more.
